Tokyo gals from early 90's....

One summer night in the early 90's. At some club in Shinjuku, Tokyo.  My high school days.  こわい〜

Since then, two are in NYC, one lived in Miami, one is in Berlin, one is a web designer, one is an interior designer, one got married with G.I. in Yokosuka, one gave a birth of twins, one runs a million-dollar business... as far as I know.

Phi-Phi Island's Underwater

Almost 2 years ago, Ron and I took a trip to Thailand for the first time. In phi-phi island, we hired a boat and a guy for a day to visit unseen world of underwater.  Water was so warm that I never felt cold.  It was quite a surreal experience over all.

Jima family at Oneta' Xmas party.  Oneta creates a special atmosphere where you feel like you are invited to your friend's BD party when you were 5 years old. Warm and peaceful time.

I first started making "When We get together" as a Christmas gift for my boy friend's family, whom I've spent last 2 Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays with.

Then I felt bad for my own family whom I haven't spent any time in holidays season for the past 12 years, or so. So I decided to make a book about the last time my mother visited me from Japan, in the fall of 2007. We took a trip to the exotic city of Tulum, Mexico.

Family, this is another motive of production.
